Silvia Martinez
Co-founder /
Biologist specialized in Biomolecular and Evolutionary Sciences, with a focus on conservation genetics. Research experience includes non-invasive genetic monitoring of wildlife, behavioral ecology, and the design of species conservation strategies.
A solid multidisciplinary background in biodiversity conservation and ecosystem restoration has been developed through fieldwork with fishing communities in the Mediterranean and participation in transdisciplinary cooperation projects across marine-coastal and tropical ecosystems in Latin America and Africa. Biodiversity conservation activities have been enriched with community-based environmental education and the management of socio-ecological dynamics in ecologically vulnerable territories.
Vincenzo Manfrè

A veterinary specialization in “breeding, hygiene, pathology of aquatic species, and control of derived products” has been developed through experience in the hygienic management of aquaculture systems, with expanded expertise in hydrobiology, taxonomy, reproduction, farming techniques, environmental impacts, and fisheries organization.
Research has focused on the main diseases affecting farmed and wild aquatic species—caused by viruses, bacteria, parasites, environmental and food contaminants, inadequate farming practices, and stress factors—and on the evaluation of aquatic ecosystems (freshwater, brackish, and marine), including the interactions between organisms and abiotic components.
Chiara Sgattoni
Co-founder /
Chiara is a biologist with a Master’s degree in Biomedical Research and extensive experience in laboratory-based projects in Stockholm and Spain. She later specialized in Conservation Biology, gaining valuable field expertise in photo-identification and data collection. Passionate about marine life, she completed marine guide training with the World Cetacean Alliance (WCA), focusing on ecotour implementation for cetacean conservation. She has also participated in a project with the Bottlenose Dolphin Research Institute (BDRI) in Galicia, studying the behavior of bottlenose dolphins in the Ría de Arousa.
Davide Buda
Co-founder /
Philosopher with a multidisciplinary background integrating phenomenology, ethology, environmental ethics, and wildlife conservation. Experienced science communicator in designing educational programs, developing learning materials, and organizing awareness-raising events. My work focuses on environmental communication and cultural promotion, with particular attention to the intersection of scientific knowledge, philosophical inquiry, and sustainability.
